A couple of months ago, I decided to look for a new car - I loved my 2008 Toyota Highlander, but it was getting up there in age, and I had wanted to move to a hybrid; because the Highlander comes in a hybrid version (which I'd heard rave reviews on), I decided that if I *did* decide to buy a new car, it would be a hybrid Highlander. I first wanted to test drive a hybrid. AutoNation was the THIRD Toyota dealer we visited that day...the first two (including the one where both me AND my husband bought our last Toyotas and where we used to always get them serviced) indicated they didn't carry but one, and that was just the "Premier" edition (which I wasn't interested in); BOTH of those tried to talk me into buying a gas-only version. I kept telling them, there is NO reason for me to buy a gas-only version because my current Highlander, though an '08, runs perfectly and it IS a gas-only version! It was only at AutoNation that the salesman: 1) offered to have me test drive their premier edition hybrid even knowing that is not what I would buy so I could get an idea of how a hybrid Highlander drives, and 2) offered to ORDER one to my specifications! Why the other two dealerships didn't think of that is beyond me. Suffice it to say, 2 weeks ago, I picked up my brand-new, fresh off the boat, 2018 Highlander Hybrid from AutoNation. I *LOVE* it! And, AutoNation was fantastic the entire process through. The sales, service, and other staff there were all helpful and top rate, and I will always remember that the #1 priority on the salesman's agenda was that I get the car I *wanted*...even if it wasn't necessarily what they had on hand. Thank you.
