This rating is of Autonation Toyota Tempe Service. There have been two service issues in the past 6 weeks. First, when put in reverse, my vehicle shook and rattled at front right end. This happened EVERY morning at first start. Once put in another gear and/or warmed up, the rattle went away. I took it in twice to Autonation Toyota Tempe, the second time I left it overnight so they could repeat the issue at first start in the morning. I even left simple instructions on how to repeat it: START, PUT IN REVERSE! The techs claimed not to be able to duplicate the issue or find the problem. Took to an independent auto service company, who found the issue right away. It was a bad motor mount on the side of the engine from where the shake/rattle was coming. I even suggested this to my Toyota Service Advisor at drop-off that this was likely a motor mount issue, but did they listen? Nope. Second issue was a few weeks later. Pronounced rattle and shaking from the rear when moving over uneven pavement. The rattle sounded like it was coming from the rear mount spare tire, but certain it is only radiating to the area. Took it in to Toyota Service. Naturally, they were unable to locate the cause of the issue. I'll be taking it back to that same independent auto repair company this week. What do you think the chances are they will be able to find the cause? Yeah, 100% chance. It is so disappointing Toyota technicians were unable to even identify the problems. One would expect that with their level of expertise, they should have been able to identify the cause, particularly the motor mount issue. I should note, the Service Advisors were totally sympathetic to my problems, but they are reliant on the technicians to identify the issues.

I've had the same Service Advisor for over a decade; maybe close to a decade and a half. He's cordial. My partner and I had appointments at 8 a.m. and brought in our vehicles for routine oil changes and multi-point inspections. We arrived at 7:57 a.m. and were checked in and out of our vehicles by 8:12 a.m. Nearly TWO-AND-A-HALF hours later we get vehicles back.

Would not recommend, Dealership uses sleezy tactics (bait and switch) to bring customers in. Over $1800 in mandatory add-ons that are not optional on top of MSRP. Might as well post a market adjustment of that amount since you won't find out until going in or getting an OTD price sheet. Stay away.

This is my first maintenance service at AutoNation Toyota Tempe since I purchased my Toyota Sienna and I am happy with the service. Fernando Castro, my service advisor, made sure I got the best service. They have shuttle service but only for a 10 mile radius. My home didn't qualify so not wanting to wait, I did a 15 minute morning walk to Costco. Not real hot yet. My car was ready in 2 hours as promised. Cost from service $0.00. Bought my first car on January 18th and it’s now May 24th and have yet to receive my plates. They haven’t even transferred the title yet. My financing bank increased my rate due to this. I’ve called in various times, got told that there were other cars with similar title issues and that I’m not alone, also that a trade in was out of state which I don’t see how that’d effect my car since the previous owner registered it in Tempe (found out because I was pulled over due to a cop being curious as to why my car wasn’t registered since December of 2022). A family member had recommended them and had no issues, but it’s been a wild experience for me.

This was my first service experience for my Rav4 purchased 6 months oil. Brought in for oil change. Said it would take 1.5-2 hours. Went to desk after 1.75 hours. Advised it was done. Rep just needs 10 minutes to do paperwork. Came back 10 minutes later & told rep needs 10 mins. Went to rep office & signed doc then had to wait in heat for 15 mins behind 4 other people waiting for valet to bring car. When got car wasn’t washed. Called this morning to find out why. This was the worst Toyota dealership I’ve ever been to. I took my car to them for an oil change and windshield wipers repair. They did a horrible job on my windshield wipers and I wanted to take the car back to them to get it fixed but could not get anyone in the appropriate department to pick up a phone or call me back. So another Toyota dealership got the issue fixed and they were shocked by the poor quality of the job these guys did. I thought it would be fair to get my money back for that part of the work. This dealership is so compartmentalized that it feels like nobody knows what is going on with the other department. I had to make five stops at different counters to explain the issue before they started taking me on the second round. After spending a sufficient amount of time there, we found out that the manager is not there to authorize the refund. We got their representative’s phone number but every time we text them, we get an answer “Let me look into that”. I’m tired of wasting my time and waiting to get my money back for a low-quality work they did.

I purchased my vehicle from a different Toyota dealer and purchased the first 12 months of vehicle maintenance. I called the service department at Auto Nation Toyota and requested them to look up my customer account to see if I could receive my prepaid maintenance work at Auto Nation because it is much closer to where I live compared to the original dealership that I purchased the vehicle from. My service representative was Robert Gamboa. He informed me that I needed to create a new customer profile for Auto Nation and helped me do so over the phone. After that, he scheduled me for an appointment. I asked if he was able to verify that the service would be free since I prepaid for it at another dealership. He said yes. When I arrived for my appointment, he said he needed the VIN number of the car to look up my service contract to verify that it would be free. I told him that I could have given him the VIN number over the phone when I called to schedule my appointment. After making me wait for 50 minutes, he informed me that the service would not be free and the prepaid service contracts can typically only be performed by the original dealership that made the sale. I declined the service and took my vehicle back home after wasting over an hour of my time. I suspect that they just wanted to get me in the door in hopes that I would just pay for the service in order to avoid making another appointment at a later date with the correct dealership. This is why I don't trust dealerships and their sales and service representatives.

Could be a good review from the point of view of the service dep., but from the point of view of the company is negative because they sold to me a car with a huge problem and they are not taking responsability in this fact. I bought a car with them because, after an investigation, people stated they are serious, trusted and rigorously with the cars that they sell, but it was not true. I am really disappointed, tried to contact the general manager about it but he does not show up with a professional and just answer. I stopped to see if i could get an oil change right away and was told yes. When i was checed in i was told 2 1/2 hours it will be Done. WHen i asked why i was told i could get an imidiate service and now 2 1/2 hours i di not get a good response. I was also told that i could get tire pricing right away because i was ready to buy and schedule the tires to be installed. I was then trying to explan what i wanted and the service person said he whould let them know. Overall i felt treated like a number and get in line. I decided to get my oil change at another service company and am buying my tires from another source as well.

I’ll be standing out front when I can get down there to try for almost day 11 to get my money back after I was lied to multiple times and then spoken to as if I were a child. Like my situation wasn’t already embarrassing. Emily as you spoke to another woman in the manor and words you did, I have no idea how you got the position you have. How unprofessional and sad. Now I ran out of money as a deposit at another place, have spent $600 in Ubers going back and forth on their word. Moved here for my moms treatments and now she’s dying alone on Mother’s Day because this woman had to be evil to me. And oh the other kicker- well I was engaged to a car salesman 20 years my senior and it costed me my car and almost my life. Overall the experience was good. It was quick. I knew what I wanted, saw the car and bought it same day. Financing got approved quickly, and I was in and out within a few hours. The buy back guarantee was an awesome perk to not make the purchase feel too pressured. The carfax and maintenance program were also good deals. The only thing was getting the finances sorted out. That part felt a bit rushed before I was able to process everything i was doing which made me a bit nervous. I also felt rushed into and pushed into getting the extra dealer warranty, gap insurance, etc. Which after I looked it over and fully read my contract days later, looked really good, but again I felt rushed and kind of pushed to buy all of that before I really understood what I was doing and again, that made me nervous. So only thing I would recommend is slow down the financial part, allow the customer to read everything, and don't try to sell them on anything before they understand what it is. Cause that extra warranty and insurance was an extra $70 on my monthly payment which I knew and was told about which isn't bad, but in total, it added almost $5000 to the loan which i wasnt told about. That would have been good to fully see and understand before deciding to pay for it.

My experience today 5/9/23 at Hyundai Auto Nation Tempe (service department) was nothing short of a NIGHTMARE. Poor customer service, price switching, and poor communication best describes my customer experience. Prior to my appointment, I was quoted “in writing” a specific dollar amount for an engine inspection, but the day I showed up for the inspection they literally DOUBLED the price 50% and told me I would need to leave my car for 2-3 days, NONE of which was communicated to me BEFOREHAND. I would advise people to take your business ELSEWHERE, but if you still decide to come to this location please AVOID working with MAX MOON and DOUGLAS the (service manager) at all costs. These two employees lack both INTEGRITY and customer service. Douglas, smugly insisted that he was being “transparent” with me about the price change, but the PROPER time to have shown transparency would have been when he contacted me 5/4/23 and quoted me a price via text and shared details about the (extension of warranty) on the engine. I feel strongly these guys would NOT have tried this type of “manipulation” with a MAN and probably see WOMEN customers as gullible and easier to take advantage of financially. No apologies were given, my time was wasted, and my blood pressure was RAISED. Ladies, do yourself a favor and go where you are APPRECIATED and your business is VALUED. Stay away from this place!

I had them change my oil and rotate the tires recently. They forgot to install most of the lug nuts on the right front tire and only partially tightened them on the other tires. I drove off the lot without realizing this and the tire almost came off before I stopped. It did come off when I tried to slowly move the car forward. They left me stranded for an hour and a half and we could not reach a live person for help via the phone. I am not confident that it will be repaired safely since they have to do it at their cost.

I've tried getting answers to some of the warranties that were sold to me, but the warranty department doesn't have all of the information. Well, my question is, who inputs this information? Now I have to call and have finance add these warranties that were sold to me because the warranty department doesn't have all of the warranties? I really hate leaving this review because I love Toyota and the service department, etc. I've spent a lot of money there over the years, bought all my cars there since 2004. Did seem a bit odd that I was charged $2.99 for windshield cleaner concentrate? Was it just topped off? Times are tough, very little inventory with an empty showroom. Boost the service cost. And the kicker, no frigging doughnuts or chocolate chip cookies, coffee was free. Didn?t feel the love. Oh yeah, a charge for tire rotation, Discount Tire appreciates my business. Get the sense that we are being subjected to nickel & dime the customer. Overall, good service, friendly & made services available.

Went in at 7am for my trucks 30,000 mile service on a Saturday. Got a call at 9:30 saying my front brakes. Need to be done. I told him to go ahead and do it. I didn’t hear anything the rest of the day from my service advisor I showed up on my own at 4:30! looking for my truck. and was told someone broke a part on my caliper when I got my truck back a week later the brakes fell apart and I could not stop my truck until I got back to the dealership. And then they began listing off excuses never go to Tempe auto nation for service. You make an appointment but never get your vehicle back in a timely manner.

4 hours in the afternoon of 2022-10-10, for an oil change, transmission drain and fill (about the same as an oil change on a Prius), and an alignment. Never again. On further review, it looks like they put BG ATF in my transmission, instead of Toyota WS ATF, and at higher cost than Toyota WS ATF would have been. I thought I went to a Toyota dealership to get actual Toyota parts and fluids. I don't really understand why some other random company's fluids were put in the car at a branded dealership; I would have gone to an independent mechanic if I wanted something like that. Never again. Update two days later: can't even get the hood open now. Pulling the latch for the hood causes nothing to happen. Never again. Seriously, don't take your car here: it's clear that they're entirely incapable of being a source of maintenance for your vehicle. Looking forward to the generic "please call our GM" response. Feel free to have the GM call me instead, if truly interested in making things better. My name is easy to find. Update May 2023: Never heard back from the dealership despite intermittent attempts to reach out. Would call their main number, talk to whomever answers the phone, explain story, be transferred to "service manager", who would never answer, left voicemail. No response. Ended up having Amex take care of it. If you put your family in your car, don't take it here to have it serviced.

Scheduling services online could be much more user friendly. I’m from a mechanic’s family, and scheduling a simple oil change and tire rotation shouldn’t be that hard navigate. The complexity felt on purpose.

Update: I was contacted by David Cole, Sales Manager, who apologized for their sales person dropping the ball after my purchase. David agreed to have all the necessary issues looked at and corrected. He went as far as getting approvals from upper management in order to replace the convertible top on my Camaro along with servicing the car as my contract stated was done. I just picked up my car and am happy with the results. All things aside, once management realized there were issues after my purchase he went above and beyond to ensure the car I purchased from them was in top condition! David was great to work with and I would recommend AutoNation Toyota Tempe for future automobile purchase. The sales staff and finance team are great during your purchase however if there is an issue with the car anytime afterwards they will ghost you! I purchased a Convertible Camaro on March 28th and on April 1st the back window started to leak causing water spots on the back seat and interior damage. Contacted the person who sold me the car and he said they have a "guy" who can fix it and would contact me the following Monday to make an appointment to repair it.. I haven't heard from them since. I've called, texted and asked for assistance with no response. Now I find out that the car wasn't serviced but the paperwork they provided says it was. My engine oil life is at 9%, if it was serviced, and the oil was changed as they claim, this percentage should be 100% or close to it. Now I'm wondering what else they were not truthful about and how to hold them accountable for misleading me and providing false claims on my paperwork. Very disappointed in how this company responds to issues once the purchase is completed.

Not sure if many auto salesmen have dealt with someone who’s last car purchase took place 22 years ago (2001). These two men literally underwent patience testing, and they exceded my expectations and passed with flying colors! I required being educated on how to simply turn on a modern vehicle to working with a digital dash board that’s managed by what I consider a mouse pad. I had a great experience buying my 2023 Toyota Tacoma at AutoNation Toyota of Tempe! I absolutely love my truck and my wife and i were treated fantastic by all sales reps. The Sales Team worked hard to find me the exact truck i was looking for and make it work within my budget. The only issue at all was with the Finance portion of the process. Again, the Team overall did amazing at making sure the numbers were to my liking and we agreed on a final price for the vehicle out the door. However, i had a firm budget that i could not go beyond, and i felt a lot of pressure to agree to one of their very expensive warranty programs. When i politely declined to agree to add the extra cost of a warranty program is where my experience went south. I personally felt that my finance rep lost interest in me as a customer once he knew for sure i was not adding any of the warranty programs and their attitude and demeanor quickly changed. It was apparent they just wanted to move on to the next sale. I get it, they are there to make money, but it did affect my overall purchasing experience, which had been outstanding up until that point.

We are only here in Arizona for the winter, leaving this Saturday the 29th for our place in the PA mountains then we will be heading to the east coast of Florida next December. Arizona has been a great experience for my wife and l and would return again for another winter in the near future. I came up on my 15k oil and tire rotation while being here and scheduled an appointment with your dealership. I was lucky enough to have Eddie Alamoda as my service advisor. I can’t say enough about this gentleman and his professional experience. Not only did he go over and above for me for just an oil change and tire rotation he was kind enough to give me some tips on a company that does protective shields for the front of the vehicle. Lucky for me there are several of there places around the country. Talk about kind and courteous and just loves meeting with his costumers well l’ve owned 3 Tacomas, a 4 runner, a Camry and now my 22 Highlander hybrid which is a fabulous vehicle all from the same dealership in Florida and never have l had the privilege to meet such a dedicated service advisor like Eddie. Let me say that l’ve never had a bad one in Florida or PA but nothing like this man Eddie. very happy with the quick service turn around with one hiccup. After getting home I installed some locking wheel nuts and found the wheel nuts were extremely tight after the tire rotation. This happens for one reason, they used an air gun and didn't torque the wheel nuts as factory recommended.This causes bolt thread stretching and potential breakage in the future. The dealer should be doing better.

I went to look at a car after calling the dealership. Raheem, who I had spoken to the day before, was there to greet me when I arrived. He made the experience so smooth which meant so much to me. I had an appointment for an oil change but was told it could be a two to two and a half hour wait. This happened the last time I came in for service and I ended up leaving and paying another place for service I could have done free there. I am not sure what the sense of making an appointment is and still waiting over two hours. I drive almost an hour for service so waiting that long for a scheduled routine oil change to me should not take that long.

Weird experience. Came in for a very run-of-the-mill oil change that they said could be 1.5 hours. Four hours later they finally wrapped it and I can leave. They're clearly overbooking themselves and letting the customer pick up the pain for what's already expensive regular maintenance. Same for everyone else that was there.

It's a typical wait for service when its complimentary, at least 2 hours, if your waiting. The main thing that annoys me is that I tell them I'm waiting and then they try to call me when car is done. I'll be sitting around waiting for them to actually get me. But it is complimentary so I guess I can't complain too much.

Waited nearly three hours for an oil change for which I had an appt. Service guy was clearly overwhelmed, told me they were super busy, claimed everyone had an appt. Not true, I inquired with others during my wait. Was told 1.5 to 2 hours, at 2.5 I found my service guy to get an update. Car was finished but he hadn't started paperwork. Nearly 15 mins later I get my vehicle and based upon the oven-like temperature inside, I'm guessing it had been sitting for an hour. Complete and utter waste of an entire afternoon.

Did great work and were extremely fast as well as did a little more work than was required however, forgot to reinstall a plastic panel over the rear driver door handle. Fortunately it was left in the back floorboard and I put it back on myself. There is also a scuff on the inside door jam of the rear driver door that was not there prior to the repairs. Not the end of the world but it is unsightly to me. As well, left my gas tank virtually empty after driving it to the dealership they say. However, they put more miles on it than it should have taken to get to the dealership and back. I had 3 miles left in my fuel tank and almost ran out on my way to a store.

Dustin was absolutely awesome along side Alex. After almost 3ish months of shopping, I really never thought I?d find something. I was ready to wait for the used car market to drop even though I wanted a new Toyota tundra. I unfortunately everything is gone before I got a chance to see the trim and color I wanted. I shopping a lot at big 2, berg, Earnhardt and Miller Toyota with no help and no luck. I went to Tempe Toyota not sure if anything would be on the lot and there was only 1 left. It wasn?t the exact color I wanted and it wasn?t the exact trim I wanted, but Dustin was awesome and helped me come a conclusion that let me leave same day in a new ride and final put the search behind me. Dustin, compared to the other few dozen scummy salespeople at other dealers, was incredibly helpful and just straight human, something often not found these days. If anyone reads this review, please don?t go to Big 2 or Berg, trash salespeople and not human. Dustin and his team were solid in helping me get what I needed and at a cost that fit my budget. 6 stars if I could rate it that high!

Work performed was well done. Issue is with a resultant parts order placed by service advisor Samuel Stuart. Very expensive parts tied to a repetitive RAV4 recall on rear suspension, I researched this online and determined I did not want the Toyota parts and would go a different direction. Requested a refund for parts. It has not been THREE weeks, I have not received a refund to my card, nor have I been advised the parts were ready for pick-up. NOTHING. Same goes for response - this dealer gives you a run-around, if they answer their phones at all, and nothing is resolved and no call backs occur. It's "We Got Your Money, Tough Nuts To You" philosophy of customer service here. Plenty of other options in such a large city, best of luck to you guys.

I bought my Tundra in for a replacement part due to a recall. Mind you I have tried to get this done for almost a year. In fact I got the round around three different times trying to get this part replaced. Each time I would make an appointment, then would receive a call telling me they couldn't locate the price. On my last visit I had items stolen from my center console in my truck. I know this because I handed over my key I took a picture of my center console and as soon as I picked up my vehicle I opened up my center console and noticed what was missing. I reported this to the service manager, which he was very pleasant. A police report was filed, but I am still out the item that was stolen from me.

First of all let me say I don’t like dealerships. So this review is pre-biased. Took the 4Runner in for service and they told me it would be $144 for an oil change and rotation. I thought that was ridiculous and told the “service manager” and he said that’s the price but he’d try to find me a deal somehow. I took it upon myself to look on their website and found both an oil change and rotation coupon. Right there, easy to find. No searching required. The service manager never came upon these coupons, but luckily I did. Saved $50. He must have a different internet than I do. Or maybe a droid. They were also supposed to appraise my vehicle to help aid my trade process. They didn’t do that either. Also, when I got the runner in 2020, they put the wrong running boards on. Overall, seems like a pretty amateur show. But what dealer doesn’t? Now they keep calling every so often asking if I will trade up or get something else. I tell each person that I’d consider it…just get me more info. Crickets…

This was the first visit for my new Rav 4. When I got there, I even stepped out of my car and it was around 10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged I was there. Then when they told me that they would let my service rep know it was at least another 5 minutes before he came out. After the service was completed I was standing at the valet for about 10 minutes before anyone showed up to get my car. Other than the people service, the car service was done in a timely fashion.

I had a 7:30 am appointment for a 25k mile oil change and at drop off was told an hour to an hour and 15 minutes so I waited. At 9:36am I received a text that the air filter. cabin filter and wheel alignment were suggested. Filters would be quick however alignment would take about an hour. I agreed those services needed to be done 1 hour . . .ah ok. Did not receive a text that my vehicle was complete until after 11:35 am. Over 4 hours of waiting in the lobby for what I thought would be 2 hours or less . . . ridiculous! If I were told to expect to be there over 2 hours I would have gone to work and came back later so I could accomplish something and be productive.

Im glad I was at least given a chance to talk about my experience, I had Bernie for my sales advisor, to be honest at first I thought he was nice but as we got through the transaction that is what it felt like a transaction, I didnt not feel like I was at all taken care of, it wasnt until I got home the next day I realized I didnt know anything about the car, like the features, the sound system the air conditioning or the seats, it was just overwhelming how much I didnt know and its the first time where I felt like I was really have to read the manual to understand my car, so mainly Bernie told me several times how many years hes worked there but all those years he still didnt know how to add my app or any information, and he was actually pretty rude towards the end, instead of apologizing for his lack of knowledge he tried to pawn me off on several people and even told one of the other employees that he could have me as a customer, as if I was being too demanding or something wanting to be able to install the app and he didnt know how, I dropped over 40k at this dealership and I felt taken advantage of, Ive never felt so horrible after buying a car, thank god the car is great unfortunately I hardly know anything about it, I didnt get the 100k warranty mainly because I dont really want to have my car serviced there and deal with some of the people I felt extremely transactional like they wanted to get me out asap also I was under the impression that the warranty 100k one was part of the price, so if you want my honest opinion, they service was horrible, no one followed up with me after to thank me for my business, and at the dealership I felt like Bernie was actually mad at me and I bought a car from him. I say Camelback is usually where I go for servicing and Id rather go there, I didn't not have a good experience and I can honestly say I don't think any of the people there would care or did care what I thought at all otherwise they would have taken care of me better, Bernie especially had no knowledge was extremely impatient he was mad bc I got there late the day when I was bringing the check and I had to go to several banks and had my 4 month old with me, so no I do not recommend this place if you want white glove service they are like a wham bam thank you maam dont ask questions do things our way type of place, maybe it was bc I was female or asian I don't know but overall I've bought my last 3 cars at toyota, this was the worst experience and I spent the most here, which is ironic, but these days no one really matters and it seems like I definitely did not Bernie did not care about me my experience and definitely gave me nothing no information on my vehicle, no hey if you need something let me know or did not ask if I had any questions about the vehicle at anytime during the 2 days I was there, if he worked there for so many years I couldnt tell, he didnt know even know how to use their systems, I do not recommend auto nation for sales or information or customer service, it was all about them not about their customers, not once was I asked did you need anything else do you have any other questions, I felt like I had to fight for any bit of information, it was not offered to me, it was just something I had to ask for and half of the time I did not even get a satisfactory answer, definitely a horrible experience, if I could I would not have bought the car their, I do like my car, but like I said I hardly know anything about it and the service is NOT what Id expect from toyota, I have driven toyota for over 20 years and this is the first time where I would not recommend the dealership if my friends asked me I would tell them to go to camelback or another dealership, to be honest I am not happy with the warranty or the information I got, if someone could call me because I have a ton of questions that I didnt get answered mainly do I have to get my servicing there or can I go to any dealership with the factory warranty?

My service manager, Eddie, is awesome. When I take my car in for service, he will tell me what I need and don’t need. That level of honesty leads to trust. If Eddie tells me that I need to attend to something on my Toyota, I ask them to fix it right away. You can’t get that trust anywhere. I will be going back

I bought my truck from Auto Nation Toyota Tempe a couple years ago. I take it here for scheduled maintenance since it was included with my purchase. It seems every time I go, it takes longer and longer to get the work done. I don't have another way to get around so I just go in for oil change and tire rotation and wait there. This last time, I made a 7:30 appointment. I was told they were running an hour and a half to two hours. Ouch, but ok. It took 4 hours and 45 minutes!!! Why even bother to make an appointment? Will not be going back.

The whole buying experience was easy without any pressure. The weather was not ideal, but we needed to get a car. Cassandra helped us look at there current inventory of cars on a computer. They were able to narrow what cars we wanted and we were able to test drive them. I would definitely buy another car there.

If it weren?t for the Service Manager Brandon and two of the polite valet/check in lads this would be a 0 star. This is probably my 6-8 oil change at Toyota Tempe location. We purchased my 2021 highlander hybrid from here as well. At the last visit I was scheduled for an oil change with someone named Chris as my service tech. Upon arriving to drop off my car I was told that Chris was not here today and it would be a while until someone could see to me to leave the car. It took about 30 minutes to finally drop off my keys with my new service tech Jose. At 3:30pm they notified me that my car was ready for pick up. My husband dropped me and my 1 year old off at 4:30 to pick up my car because I had errands to run after with her. Upon arriving to pick up my car I waited 15 minutes to pay and they are very disorganized at the cashier window, they have to know the service man?s name in order to find paperwork and nothing is filed well. I over paid for an oil change and then went outside to hand my receipt to the Valet to get my car. He could not find my key in the lock box so he ran to the shop to check in there, then ran around checking with people to find it. After about 15 minutes I gave up and took my 1 year old back inside to ask the cashier to speak with the manager. She had me wait a few more minutes then called the manager. It took 10-15 mins for Brandon to come to his office. He took another 15-20 minutes to review video footage to try to track down where my key was before coming to speak with me and my 1 year old. Come to find out one of the men left my key in another car and now totally lost my key. I told him they should review their key keeping policy because this isn?t the first time my key wasn?t in the lock box upon pick up. He offered a rental car but both of my car seats for my kids were in the Highlander. I?d have to come back another day for him to make me another key. I had to call my husband and make him bring my spare key back so I could leave? after another 15-20 minutes of waiting it was now 5:30 and my husband arrived with my key but the service department was completely empty. No brandon around, no cashiers, no valet men, no service techs. If your department screwed up this badly maybe you should have made sure someone was there to help me once I had a key so I could get out of there. But no one was around, I went back in the dealership and found someone in sales, explained to him what happened and asked if he could go get my key. He wasn?t able to and went around trying to find someone? he was unable to find anyone. I found someone possibly a service tech on my third trip back outside and asked him. He finally brought me my car and I was finally leaving at 5:35pm. I came back 4 days later once they finally had a key available and Brandon had us in and out in 20 minutes and reimbursed me for the service. In summary we won?t be coming back? staff is unorganized, do not follow procedures, service techs leave keys around, do not take their paperwork to the cashiers prior to notifying the customer that the car is ready for pick up, they lose track of keys, and don?t care how long they keep people waiting.

I agree with most of the other negative replies. Their finance people are the worst, especially that fat, little slimy dude. Some of the sales reps are very aggressive !!! However Colton was very patient and friendly. The service department is outstanding and professional. Conner was especially helpful!!! I am still looking for a slightly used 2021/2022 hydrid Highlander XLE/XSE. I was hoping to get one at (ANTT). However, unless you change your methods of aggressive sales and financing, I will go to Earnhardt Toyota, Camelback Toyota, Big Two Toyota, Avondale Toyota. I purchased my last 2016 Highlander from Camelback Toyota! They were very helpful.

I took my Tundra in for regular service but I also needed brakes and rotors checked as I had noticed a wobble last time I towed my trailer. The service rep gave me a quick quote off the top of his head for the extra work and assured me they could get it done while I waited. They sent me a text about 1.5 hours later with the price and recommendation to clear the AC evap as well. I approved the work on all items and about 2 hours later they were done with all work. It was a fair and timely exchange in my opinion.

Had an excellent experience at AutoNation Toyota Tempe for multiple reasons. First of all, I want to commend them for not trying to force upon the consumer any market up-charges/adjustments. Second, Cesar was the best possible partner we could have hoped to work with and consistently went above and beyond for us throughout the entire process. Finally, they worked with us to provide a reasonable trade-in amount on our old vehicle that made things simple and easy for us to just drive away in our new vehicle!

Trent the salesperson was amazing.. he’s the only reason it’s has any stars. That’s my guy right there. The finance department is what ruined it all. Of course, despite knowing people in the finance department, they still try to shove warranties down your throat. Told him i can’t pay more than a certain amount a month.. ignored that.. kept pitching me deals. Signed everything after listening for 30-45 min and left. Next day, the finance guy texts me saying he’s got me a lower payment and he’s resending documents to sign.. payment is lower BUT.. i see some warranties snuck in there that i never asked for or was told about. Asked multiple times if they can be removed, and of course, in typical dealership fashion, ignores it, tells me some bs about it’s a bank program .. i tell him no.. he keeps pushing, calling, having his boss call me 3 times in a row from 2 different numbers. If they were required to have for some “bank program” i would’ve kept it, but he was just lying straight to me cause he probably didn’t expect me to catch the extra stuff. So i told him no i just want the gap coverage i asked for and that’s it.. so he gets his feelings hurt and instead of just removing them and saving me another $20 a month.. he just says “fine, go with your original payment” So these guys aren’t your friends, if you aren’t making them money, they do not care about you. Tried to find out who my loan is through and he won’t respond so i have no idea. I wish trent could just do the whole process.. sales department is amazing.. 5 stars.. finance guy i dealt with… man.. what a scam

The sales department is nice and helpful. But the service department gives the worst customer service throughout all the dealers in the valley. First, there is almost no way to reach their service advisors even after one is assigned. The main phone number (option 1,3) will never reach anyone but voicemail box. The assigned advisor will not reply to my email , text, call until the repair is completed. No status update at all. Also when I first arrived for my appointment, I stood in the service department area next to my car for 22 minutes to have someone came over to talk to me. And then the young guy gave me a paper bag for signing and dropping off my key. Then no one came to me again. I had to wait for another 15 minutes and finally I walked around to find my advisor who was comfortably sitting in the booth and then I asked if I could have him my key. Went in to get my brakes changed and nothing ever happened! Got call 5 hrs after dropping it off to be told it was brake pads and that the part needs to be ordered and that tomorrow we can bring bake. We decided to leave it so it could be done quicker we?ll waste of time!! We drove there since one had called and it was getting later in the day. Just to be told told that the part wasn?t released and there was nothing to do because that repair was under investigation!!! Wasted a whole day for nothing!!! Found a nice truck for a good deal. Wish I picked a better sales man tho. He didn’t understand anything I was telling him and I had to talk with the sales manager to relay to him. Made a appointment to switch out cars, my trade in for the truck I bought, and precisely said my apt was at 815am and Bernie had to be there with my truck. No show, I call AUTO Nation and they tell me he just left with my truck at 8:30am. While I’m waiting I am getting charged more. So now I have to wait for Bernie to drive from Tempe to Casa Grande. He finally shows up at 930am with a quarter of a tank and tells me my truck needs gas. 🤦 and my apt bill racked up an additional $100 just for waiting. And nw I need gas

They mark up prices on select cars won’t try to negotiate, had multiple bad experiences with this dealership lied too me about how much cash I needed for a down payment tried claiming I needed $10,000 down for a 2023 gr86 manual I then left and went to earnhardt toyota where they were more than happy to assist me with my needs and wants, ended up only putting $500 down on my new 2023 gr86 I wouldn’t suggest going through with autonation unless you want to be ripped off.

After being charged nearly $1,000 by a Toyota dealership (not to mention their recommendation to replace my key fob for $600 and realign my truck lid which I did at the Toyota Collision place) to unsuccessfully diagnose an electrical disorder with my 2013 Toyota Prius, I took my car and left it at Autonation Tempe Toyota. Tempe Toyota charges $165 to perform diagnostic services and they then credit that back on repairs, which for me was the purchase and installation of a new 12 volt battery. The cost was $264......TOTAL (which included the diagnostic services. If I had purchased the Prius 12 volt battery at an auto parts store, the price was $240 WHAT?? I'm a happy camper because that appears to have solved the problem!

I was having problems with my car getting stuck on reverse so I took my car in to the Toyota Dealership. At first, I had to wait for a while for them to diagnose what was wrong with it but they finally did. The person assigned to help me from start to finish was very professional and knowledgeable. They send me home in a rental which was a nice 2023 Rave 4. My extended warranty paid for 5 days for the rental and they covered the rest for free.After 2 weeks to replace my transmission, I finally got my car back. So far I am very pleased how my car is running.

While I thought I had gotten good service during my recent visit, today I got a solicitation email, reminding me to fix the things that were recommended. Four things were on the solicitation list, including a new set of all four tires. Of those things listed on the solicitation, the only thing that was mentioned to me, was that one of my tires may need to be replaced. No urgency was given except a comment that the summer heat may play a role in the safety of that tire. Now the solicitation says I need all four tires? +3 other issues that were not mentioned to me? If any, or all of these are important, I would expect that a conscientious service provider would speak to me about them in person.

Needed a replacement of a side mirror on a 2010 Camry. My service representative got the replacement painted and available for installation in a couple of days and I thought it would take much longer. The actual installation took less than an hour. Prior to visiting and told him what model we were interested in buying. He had the venison stock and was able to buy at MSRP price. It was time for my 35,000 service on my Toyota Camry. It just needed a tire rotation. I set up the appointment online which was fast and easy. I took the car in on January 19th. The service rep, Chris, who wrote up my order told me about how long it would take the cost. He was spot on on both. He was friendly and professional. The waiting area was clean and spacious. It was room enough for customers to spread out. I'm from out of town and I was very impressed by their process and dealership. I got a text when my car was ready. I would bring my car back if repairs are required.

Good, friendly service. Terribly expensive compared to a second quote received after the work was done. Disrespect for my car. Incredible amount of bird droppings all over the front hood of my car. Obviously parked under a tree. But so baked on that a car wash didn't budge it and took LOTS of elbow grease to scrape it all off. No apology from the dealership (they used to wash cars after servicing). I felt like they didn't care because I didn't agree to have the other $2500 worth of repairs done. They need to cut that tree down. It will be my last visit to them.

Got the truck back, there was used oil from the oil filter (top right side of engine) all the way down, skid plate was covered with fresh used oil and all the way back to frame support. My truck never had any leaks and still doesn't have a leak after used oil was cleaned off. The service advisor recommended cooling system flush/clean that was performed about 5.5K mile (about six months prior to this service) along with other service that some were not needed. This trick has always been serviced at the same dealership since it was new, he obviously didn't even check the history of services that were performed by them.

We had purchased a used truck in February of 2022, paid cash and gave them the title to our trade-in. Autonation Toyota Tempe, however, did not provide us with the title to our newly purchased vehicle. They also made numerous mistakes in the sales paperwork which they did not catch until a few days after the sale. They expected us to drive to their dealership to make the corrections (and weren’t even friendly in asking this). That’s a more than 2-hour round-trip drive for us, so of course I said “No, thank you”. They could not figure out how to correct the paperwork and send it electronically. I ended up going to the MVD to fix some of the mistakes they made, but also found out they did not even have the title to our truck at the time of purchase. Had they been honest about it and explain that it may take a little longer than usual for us to receive our title, it would’ve been no big deal. But they were rude and lied every single time I contacted them. They also charged us fees for the new vehicle registration after I had made it clear to them I was entitled to a waiver for those fees because I had just returned from an overseas deployment with the military. On top of that, they placed a hold on a registration refund of almost $400 from our trade-in. Yes, Autonation Toyota Tempe tried to steal our refund amount and use it towards a new fee we were not even required to pay. This was not a mistake or misunderstanding as I had explained that to them several times via email and they acknowledged numerous times they would reverse it. However, instead of a reversal, they decided to keep the hold on our refund and to block us from taking advantage of a fee waiver I had earned. After several months, Autonation Toyota Tempe finally gets hold of the title and still expected us to drive out there. But when I refused and told them to meet me at my location, they decided to report the vehicle as stolen to the Tempe Police Department. I paid over $50K cash for a 2020 Tundra and fees and when they mess up the paperwork, they make the claim that I had stolen the vehicle! And as if that wasn’t enough, they also decided to call the police in my area and have them come to my house and also threatened to contact my unit commander (I’m not sure what they thought that would accomplish, but anyway..). My wife refused to drive this truck that we had just paid a whole lot of money for because she was scared she’d get arrested for driving a stolen vehicle. She was also scared they would break into our property to repo our truck despite the fact that it was paid in full. All this unnecessary stress while I’m having to go to many VA appointments for injuries I sustained during the Afghanistan pull-out. So yes, I took them to court and yes, I won. But after the judge ruled in my favor, they still expected me to come to their office and pick up the compensation the judge had just awarded me. The idiot general manager then proceeds to threaten me, again, with a counter suit. Counter suit for what?? Because I’m expecting that they follow what a judge has just ordered them to do? Then he demands I sign a release so I won’t bad-mouth the dealership; they have a reputation he says. Well, your reputation sucks, and the only reason you probably don’t have more people speak on what terrible ‘service’ you provide, is because you force them to sign your BS release or threaten them with lawsuits. Autonation Toyota Tempe’s staff and leadership are unprofessional, rude, and worst of all, shady. They lie, they steal, they screw-up and expect you to just accept the consequences. I paid cash for vehicle that cost $50,000; I can only imagine how they would treat me if I had financed a car or paid less. If you want to save yourself a big headache, don’t do business with Autonation Toyota Tempe. Don’t even shop there. If you have and they’ve treated you badly, take them to court; don’t back down and demand what’s yours.

Usually dealerships and mechanics in general will try to get money from you and say there are more issues on your car, but I was able to get a quick oil change and was told there are no other issues with my car, so I actually paid what I came for!

Come to find out, it’s over $900 of work. The entire process, from scheduling my service appointment to the valet returning my vehicle, was seamless, efficient and stress free. The team members were professional and friendly making me feel likey vehicle was in good handsvand I was a valued customer. I waited for my vehicle at the dealership. The waiting area was comfortable and I enjoyed several cups of their complimentary coffee. Fantastic experience!

This is our second purchase with Toyota Autonation Tempe and we are customers for keeps! I had first seen the sales rep who worked with me, Louis Lopez, several weeks prior while I was getting my car serviced there and from the get go he stood out to me with how friendly and knowledgeable he came off while working with other customers. Literally at that time I thought, ?If I buy another car here in the future I want to work with him.? Literally a few weeks later we were back in and I was beyond excited when I realized that Lou was going to be my sales rep and I knew I was in good hands. Lou went above and beyond to make things smooth and fast. I came with my wife and 3 children (5 and under) in tow and in less than 2.5 hours Lou was able to take us on a test drive, trade in our vehicle and get us signed and out the door in a new car? oh and did I mention it was Christmas Eve? He could have rightfully been frustrated and rushed but all he showed was kindness and patience and going above and beyond in showing us where we could show our children movies in the kids center and being understanding and patient. I?ve been to several car dealerships with the sketchy used car-sales and manipulative feel and this is the furthest you?ll get from that! Every department here is amazing and they don?t do the sketchy tactic of making you wait 6 hours to get tired and depressed and just accept getting a way overpriced car. I?m going to be servicing my car here as always and when it?s time for my next car I know where I?m going. Go with Toyota Autonation Tempe - their sales ethic is on point - and Lou is a MUST!!! Thank you to Louis Lopez and Jesus Garcia (financing) who went above and beyond to bring this amazing deal together!!!

Visited dealership wanting 1 of 2 specific vehicles and original one was still available. Everything was great. Or I thought. The original sales guy young dirtty blonde male in early 20s was extremely pushy and rude and real cocky. So I had to ask for a salesperson who actually wanted to sell a vehicle because I was already willing to purchase a specific vehicle. With the 2nd sales person BJ it really was smooth from there on out as it should be. The days we were there our daughter was fussy and tired so I really appreciated how fast they worked to close it all up. if I were to go back I will choose my salesperson prior to purchase. *****BEWARE***** For me it is now the end of December and I am still waiting for a promised $500 gift card as stated in contract from this past November's black Friday sales event. Weeks and weeks of calling and getting nowhere. I am always told I would get a call back from a gal and nothing to verify when to pickup. Now I have had extreme patience with them. And as of right now I personally would not recommend anyone going here at all unless your into games and the run around. This place also seems to lack knowledgeable sales reps when promotions happen and no sense of customer service when you call. I will keep this post updated when as I am updated. fingers crossed. ****Update*** I have received a call today 12/31 in the am that my check was there and ready. the lady who helped me was amazing.

I always make an appointment for service at this dealership and wait for my car (since 2001). One would think an appointment would get you in and out at least close to ontime. Usually 1.5 -2 hours for a oil change. A bit long but doable. The last 2 times it was closer to 3 hours. Both times after 2 hours and 30ish minutes I had to inquire about my car. The 1st time my car was actually done. The 2nd time I was told 10-15 more minutes. After 30 minutes I had to ask again. Car was ready. Both times when I got the car it was as if the car was sitting in the sun for quite awhile as it was very hot inside. Yes this is Arizona but it is winter with highs in the lower 60s on both occasions. Seems as if it was forgotten once finished. No one ever went over the multipoint inspection on the last 2 visits. I have another Toyota dealer equidistance from my home and I will consider trying them next time. 3 hours with an appointment and no communication is not good customer service.

Loved my rep, but didn't like the fact the call to the Service Dept. is not handled locally, but through Texas! Dealt with someone who had incorrect info concerning my telephone number, and the type of service I wanted. I want my call to be handled locally. The dealership is not as good as it used to be. What a waste of time & $$$. Services are way too expensive. May have to go elsewhere in the future.

Drove over an hour to make a deal for a 2015 Tundra 1794 edition. I get there and Parker was the salesman. The truck had two rear tires with plugs and nails still in them, and the two front tires were bald. Was told they will not replace them because they passed inspection. Really? I was still going to purchase vehicle. I told them I have perfect credit, almost 800 points, and at least $8,000+ to put down plus a 2012 Ram Hemi 4x4 to trade in. My profit sharing check was due to be in in just a few days that I planned to put down on the vehicle. I asked if they could hold with a deposit till then. Was told no again. So they missed out on a sale and they gained a bad review. I will never buy from them with their attitude like that. Even if they still have it when my check comes in next week. Very bad business ship. There are plenty of other trucks and dealers out there that would love my money. Usually a dealer will offer to hold with a deposit and good credit.

The reasoning for my 3 stars is the initial call before the service. I called Toyota at 8:30 am Saturday to see If I could drop off my truck for service. The girl who answered said no way they were busy. I asked if I could make an appointment for Monday and she replied, call back Monday. I’m was really taken back how this person did not want to help out a customer. So I decided to drive to Toyota and see if I could get service and talk to someone who would help. I did, and with no problem I dropped my truck off and had it serviced. I’ve been a customer for over 15 years, have purchased 3 cars from Toyota. This call is not a reflection on Toyota but a reflection on the people who work at Toyota.

I recommend buying a Toyota there. I don’t like there service department. I went in to get a oil change. And they did the oil change plus SDC Differential that our friend said is not due until 60k . He is a mechanic owner of his own shop. My Highlander is only at 23567 miles . I left very upset. For now on I will be bringing my Highlander to our friends shop for service. We’re I can trust.
