Terri from ABC15 has been driving the new 2019 Toyota RAV4 around the Phoenix area over the past few weeks. After learning about the advanced features like Lane Tracing Assist, which alerts you when you drift out of your lane, and spending a little time driving the new Toyota RAV4 off-road, the focus turned to the RAV4's large cargo capacity. With so much room, the ABC15 team decided to fill the trunk space with toys and games to donate to Voices for CASA Children.
Voices for CASA Children or CASA, which stands for Court Appointed Special Advocate, is a group of volunteers that help support foster children in the Phoenix area. In the state of Arizona, about 30 children enter foster care each day, and roughly 9,000 children are already living in foster care. CASA volunteers help support the children by giving them a voice, particularly in court. A CASA volunteer can be the one consistent adult in a foster care child's life, which can make a big and positive impact on them. Jingle & Mingle CASA Toy Drive for Foster Children
One of the most year's anticipated events for AutoNation Toyota Tempe is Jingle & Mingle CASA Toy Drive held each December. Here, CASA volunteers get to connect within their volunteer community, mingle with staff members and program coordinators, enjoy festive food and merriment, and choose a complimentary gift for there CASA children!
Always, there is laughter, good cheer, spirited encouragement, and heart-warming stories of advocates' successes. For AutoNation Toyota Tempe, Jingle & Mingle is one of the highlight events of the year!
